Additive manufacturing of bionanomaterials for biomedical applications based on TI6AL4V and PLA: a systematic review

Additive manufacturing (AM) is the owner of a huge potential as technology in fabricating functional implants, and scaffolds for biomedical applications. AM, which includes 3D printing (3DP) bioprinting, can be solution to produce several needs such scaffolds/implants, tissue or organs, medical devices by combining different biomaterials with nanomaterials. Titanium its alloys Polylactic acid (PLA) are commonly used bone repair their superior bio-functionality. The rapid advancement three-dimensional (3D) has enabled fabrication porous titanium polymer composite controllable microstructures, regarded an effective method promoting repair. An electronic literature search was conducted PubMed, Web Science, Scopus, Elsevier, Embase, other numerous databases up December 2021 accessed Karabuk university. To evaluate possibility bias methodological quality, SYRCLE tool last version CAMARADES list were used, respectively, meta-analysis could not performed. This systematic review aimed common 3D-printed Ti6Al4V (Ti64) PLA matrix scaffold repairing defects investigate influential factors that might affect osteogenic availability. most ideal parameters designing Ti64 found pore size around 300-400 m porosity 60-70%, while show 350-400 nearly same percentage Ti64.
